Rusty is a handsome little dachshund who was used for breeding.  He's now been neutered and currently in a foster home hoping to find his forever home soon.

Camera Shy Doggies

When it comes to getting photographed dogs behave much the same as humans.  Some really "ham it up" and, well, others don't.   In fact they will do everything possible to make things difficult.  My last photo session at the Habersham Animal Shelter was particularly challenging.  I think these three got together and planned their "back to the photographer" strategy!

Poor little kitty. She's really a sweet little thing. We think she was in a fire since her little whiskers and some fur is singed.  She'll be beautiful again once her fur grows back.  She just needs a loving home.

Photographing the new arrivals at the Habersham Co. Animal Shelter in Clarkesville, GA

Yesterday was my day to photograph the new arrivals at the Habersham Co. Animal Shelter in Clarkesville, GA. I love to photograph the doggies, just wish it were under different circumstances.  Volunteers, Rhonda and her husband  Johnny,  brought the dogs out and I photographed them.  My hubby, Mark, worked hard at trying to get their attention.  It was a grand effort and hopefully the photos will help place them in loving homes.  In all we had 14 new dogs...this is in just this past week, very sad.  Spay and neuter laws are desperately needed here.  To see some of the dogs available for adoption Click Here
